Treasure Beach Fire Prevention - Treasure Beach
July 14, 2007
Members of the Roxana Volunteer Fire Company held a fire prevention day at Treasure Beach RV Park. During the day children of all ages as well as many adults were instructed on how to make evacuation plans, how to locate smoke detectors, as well as how to safely evacuate the house in the event of a fire. Participants were given a chance to go through a smoke house to simulate a real fire and they were expected to evacuate in the proper way that they learned. Children also had a chance to look through our ambulance to learn about the medical side of a fire department.
Everyone had alot of fun and we look forward to doing it again next year.
Special thanks to Millsboro Fire Dept for letting us use their smoke house.
