House Fire
Saturday, November 11, 2017
On Saturday, 11 November 2017, at approximately 1700 Hours, Roxana VFC was alerted for a structure fire in the 37000 Block E. White Tail Drive in the Deer Run Acres subdivision. Selbyville VFC and Millville VFC were dispatched to assist this working fire.
SCEMS Unit #105, manned by Becca Short and Matt Troutman were in the area, clearing from an EMS call in the 90 locale, when they noticed the heavy plume of smoke and contacted EOC. SCEMS advised EOC of a confirmed working fire with all occupants out of the structure.
The crew from Engine/Tanker 90-4 attacked the fire with a 2.5" pre-connect and 1-3/4" crosslay. Arriving units assisted with the fire attack and worked for approximately 1.5 hours to control the blaze and prevent extensions.
The fire was called under control at 1820 hours by Chief Chris Uibel.
