3-Vehicle MVC Lighthouse Rd (Rt. 54) at Wilson

Friday 15:33 hrs.  Three-vehicle MVC on Lighthouse Rd. (Rt. 54) at Wilson Ave..  One passenger entrapped in a vehicle was extricated and transported to  local hospital.  Both eastbound and westbound traffic was stopped for a considerable length of time at the height of  Friday weekend traffic.  Eastbound traffic was backed up beyond Harris Teeter, possibly as far as Williamsville.  After rescue equipment cleared the scene, fire police remained on the scene to assist DSP with traffic control until vehicles were removed from the scene.
