LIVE-FIRE DRILL AT TWIN CEDARS

Roxana Volunteer Fire Company hosted a massive, all-day live-fire drill exercise at the Twin Cedars apartment complex, attended by a total of nine fire companies, including Roxana, Bethany Beach, Dagsboro, Frankford, Lewes, Millville, Selbyville, Bishopville and Ocean City . Participants were given access to and instructions in apartment and room fires in a multi-level apartment building. At the end of the day the structure was consumed by fire and burned to the ground. Thanks to all who participated.
Note: In the middle of the drill, heavy smoke was noticed on the horizon. Units were dispatched and discovered a chicken house on fire. Responding units extinguished the chicken house fire and returned to the drill.
