MVC with entrapment

On Wednesday October 12th at approximately 1030 hours the Roxana Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a 2 vehicle MVC at West Line Rd and Selby Rd. Units responded from Fire Prevention at Phillip C Showell. Upon arrival Assistant Chief A. Johnson established command, requested an additional BLS unit and advised all incoming units of 1 patient entrapped. Engine 90-1 with Chief Uibel and a crew of 4 arrived on scene stabilized the vehicle, removed the driver side door assisted BLS 90 with removing the patient. Rescue 90 arrived on scene and assisted with debris clean-up and scene clean-up. Engine 90-5 arrived on scene and remained available for any pending calls. Patients were transported to the hospital and crews were placed available when ready. Fire police remailed on scene until vehicles were removed from the roadway.
