Vehicle fire West Line Road

Tuesday 14:28 hrs.  A new Ford pickup truck caught fire on West Line Rd. between Chicken Farm Rd. and Hudson Rd.  Assistant Chief Glenn Johnson was working in a field nearby when the fire erupted.  He and Assistant Chief Chris Magee, who arrived in his personal vehicle shortly after the call was dispatched, were able to extinguish the fire, utilizing water on the scene and fire extinguishers, before the first engine arrived.  Damage to the truck's passenger compartment was severe.  Engine 90-4 arrived on the scene and confirmed extinguishment.
