3-Vehicle Accident Rt. 54 on Cape Windsor Bridge

Friday 05-20-2016 22:36 hrs.  Three vehicle MVC on Lighthouse Rd. (SR 54), eastbound, on the Cape Winsor Bridge.  Vehicle #2 rear-ended Vehicle #1 and then was rear-ended by Vehicle #3..  Responding equipment included Rescue 90, Engine 90-1, Ambulance 90 and TC-90.  Also assisted by Bethany Beach ambulance and TC-70.  The eastbound lane was completely blocked and traffic was backed-up in both directions for more than a mile.  Fire Police remained on scene until 00:20 for traffic control until vehicles were removed from the scene.
