Roxana Responds to Motor Vehicle Accident - Leisure Dr. The Refuge

On Wednesday December 17, 2008 at 7:37 pm the Roxana Vol. Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Lighthouse Rd. at the entrance of The Refuge. Asst. Chief Guy Hudson (90-16) arrived on scene at 7:39 pm with a single vehicle into a fire hydrent with water flowing and 1 patient. Upon arrival of A-90 and Paramedic 4 out of Ocean City the patient was packaged and loaded into Paramedic 4 for transport to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Fire crews waited for the arrival of Artesian Water Co. to shut down the hydrant. All units cleared at 8:05 pm and the scene was turned over to DSP for investigation.
