Roxana's Amb was dispatched @ 10:51 Am to Bayside for a subject fallen and immediatly upgraded to a Rescue w/collapse @ 10:53 Am with Medic 105, Trooper 2 and MD Trooper 4 due. Command 90 responded with Asst. Chief Glenn Johnson, 90-17. Sussex reported a floor fallen with a posibility of patients injured and/or trapped. Upon arrival of B-90, EMT Gary Walls advised Command that there were 5 patients on the 3rd floor. An initial search did not reveal any additional victims at this time in the collapse area. Command assigned Safety Officer Jay Hudson with the LZ for the helicopters in front of the building. Command was transferred to Asst Chief Kenny Kinsell 90-19 so that 90-17 could get Tower 90 to lower patients from the 3rd floor. The Tower was not used upon returning to the scene, as a construction loader was used to remove all patients. A total of 5 patients were packaged for transport to local hospitals. 2 of those patients were flown out. Ambulances from Selbyville B-88, Millville C-84 and Paramedic 4 from Ocean City were utilized. Asst. Chief Kenny Kinsell transferred command to Asst Chief Guy Hudson 90-16. The Sussex County Technical Rescue Team was called in to stabilize the floors and assist with searching the 4th floor collapse area for any additional victims. Additional manpower was called in from Selbyville VFC and Millville VFC. Rehab 90 provided lunch and drink for the responders. After the Technical Rescue team assisted with a secondary search, it was determined that no additional rescue would be needed. The building was turned over to the construction crews and all emergency personell were placed in service when ready @ 15:01 Hrs. Other units responding: A-90, 90-1, R90, R84, R88, 88-10, Traffic Control 88, 70-11 & Sussex County Special Operations Trailer.
